You can do theory in English... but that comes with its own issues, namely the very bad translations of questions that are trying to trip you up in Spanish. Not a great combo.
Congratulations! I am dreading this process so I appreciate the details of your experience. I’m curious what you think of my current situation. I am a US + Italian citizen and I am nomading around Europe so I’m not a resident of a European country (yet) and I just renew my International Driving Permit on my yearly US visits. So this has been OK so far but I think the trigger for a license (and I most likely will settle in Barcelona) will be once I become a resident, I can’t use my International Permit after 6 months I think.
Congratulations on passing, Russell! That sucks that it's so hard. Well noted not to do it in Barcelona. I hope they go easier on me in Valencia!
Were you able to do the theory test in english? Or does that have to be done in Spanish?

Going through the same process presently in Italy. I can relate to all that. It’s by far the most annoying experience since in Italy.
Fantastic
