as for education.... 50 years ago a middle class working father could indeed pay for 3 kids college education. It's just not that way anymore. The cost of college is insane. Truly, insane. At least, here in the states, that is.
Not to mention the U.S. health outcomes, especially for maternal and infant health, are far from the best.
